JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance with a proven track record in the fintech industry and extensive knowledge of the crypto world. As our client operates in the crypto space, the Director of Finance will be responsible for managing the financial actions of the organization, including financial planning, management of financial risks, and financial reporting concerning cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. The ideal candidate should have proven experience and in-depth knowledge of the crypto world, including blockchain technology and digital currencies. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, aligning it with the company's overall objectives.
• Oversee all fiscal and regulatory matters of the company.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
• Ensure the credibility of the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile and ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
• Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Proven experience as finance director, or relevant role, preferably in the fintech industry.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Ability to strategize and solve problems.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
• CPA is a strong advantage.
• Bilingual English - Spanish
• The ability to work remotely and manage remote teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Extensive experience in the crypto world.
• Understanding of blockchain technology and digital currencies.
• Experience with crypto-related regulatory and compliance issues.
